Summer 2026 Programs
BSD’s summer programming is designed to serve a wide range of ages, interests, and levels through a mix of engaging Children’s Dance Camps, Weekly Classes, and Dance Intensives. The goals of the summer programs are to offer opportunities for growth, development, weekly movement and community.
Early Bird Pricing - We are currently offering early bird pricing on all summer programs. Session fees will increase by 10% after April 15. We encourage families to register early to reserve their spot and take advantage of discounted rates.
Children’s Dance Camps
Each week of the Children’s Dance Camps centers on a unique theme that inspires imaginative movement and expressive dance. Through creative movement, age-appropriate technique, improvisation, and choreography, campers explore new ways of moving while building coordination, musicality, and confidence. Our camps are led by Louisa Mann with additional support staff.
July camps offer both half-day (9:00am–1:00pm) and full-day Monday through Thursday (9:00am–3:30pm) options.
August camps for our youngest dancers are designed as shorter half-day programs (9:00am–12:00pm).
Each week concludes on Friday with an informal showing at 12:30pm for families, where dancers share the choreography and movement work they’ve developed throughout the week.
Dancers will need to provide their own snacks, lunch, and water bottle.
Note: Full day dance camps are Monday through Thursday with Friday ending at 1:00pm after dance presentation.

Dancers will step into a magical woodland brought to life through movement and expressive dance. Through creative movement, imaginative improvisation, and age-appropriate technique, campers embody fairies, forest creatures, and woodland adventures while exploring dynamics, levels, balance, and flow. As they dance, they build coordination, musicality, spatial awareness, and confidence.

Dive into an underwater adventure through movement and dance! Dancers embody mermaids, sea creatures, and ocean explorers as they explore fluidity, rhythm, and dynamic movement qualities inspired by the sea. Through expressive dance, improvisation, and themed choreography, campers develop age appropriate technique, musicality, and confidence while bringing their ocean world to life.

Inspired by the beloved ballet Swan Lake, this camp introduces dancers to classical storytelling and expressive movement. Campers explore character work, musicality, and dance technique in a range of disciplines while preparing a short performance inspired by this timeless tale.

Dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, and more! This imaginative week invites dancers to embody legendary creatures through dynamic choreography, creative movement, and collaborative storytelling.

Designed especially for our youngest dancers, this playful circus-themed camp introduces the foundations of movement and dance in a nurturing environment. Through creative movement, guided improvisation, and simple choreography, dancers explore balance, coordination, levels, and rhythm as they build confidence and body awareness.

Dance Intensives
BSD’s Dance Intensives are designed for dancers who are eager to deepen their training, build strength, and refine technique across a range of dance styles. Each intensive features BSD faculty alongside inspiring guest teachers, offering dancers the opportunity to broaden their experience while strengthening their technical foundation. These programs are an excellent way to maintain training momentum, build confidence, and continue progressing throughout the summer.
We are offering three Dance Intensives for two levels:
Level I (June Intensive) – For dancers enrolled in Ballet IV/V, Youth Modern, or Beginner/Advanced Beginner Adult classes
Level II (June, July, August Intensives) - For Intermediate and Advanced dancers
For dancers in Level II looking to maximize their summer training, a bundle option is available that includes all three intensives. Fee $900
Intensive classes cannot be taken as singles or drop-ins. Dancers must register for the full program.

Weekly Classes
Weekly classes will be offered throughout the summer, with a short break at the end of August before the start of the fall term. The summer term is divided into two sessions:
Weekly Classes Mini Session (3 weeks) from June 1-20. (No classes will be held on Friday June 19 in honor of Juneteenth. )
Weekly Classes Summer Session (8 weeks) from June 22 - August 14.
Weekly Classes can be taken as singles for $20, no pre-registration required.
Note: Intermediate and advanced dancers are encouraged to choose the bundle option for the Mini Session, which allows them to train Monday through Friday during those three weeks in a variety of dance styles—helping them maintain and strengthen their technique ahead of any summer dance programs they maybe attending.
